Verlinden 1/32nd scale kit. Collar was remade from lead foil and milliput. The head was re-sculpted from a Hornet head to look like Rhett Butler. The hat was remade from Aves Sculpt. The figure was painted with Vallejo Acrylics with flesh in oils. The base is from a war gaming plaque. The ground work is Sculptimold with VLS static grass. The tarmac made from sandpaper. Warriors 1/35th Scale Ducth Infantryman 1940 This is a 1/35th scale figure from Warriors. I added straps and slings made from lead foil. I added “racing stripes” down the pants legs to change his rank. The figure was painted in Acrylics and flesh tones were done with oils. The base was modified to included bricks and static grass and mounted on a Ranch Dressing lid. Photographs by Roderick Bell. |

This is the Alan BA20 Armored Car. I modified the kit with styrene additions, weld seams were added via stretched sprue. I also added MV Lenses for the headlights. The figures are from Verlinden and Warriors with arms from Armiture and heads from Hornet. The Dog is from Andrea and the stump is from Bayardi. Figures were painted with Vallejo Acrylics and flesh tones were painted with oils. Snow is from Micraw Ballons and Future floor polish. The base is a picture frame. Photograph by Roderick Bell. |

This is Dragon's 1/72nd Maus heavy tank. The model has about 35% sheet plastic (rear plate, barrel, towing shackles, etc...). Painted with Tamiya Acrylics and weathered with oils and pastels. The base is built from Plaster of Paris with all the detail scribed in or added from styrene or balsa. Photograph by Don Jones. |
