DML Bergpanzer Tiger I in 1/35th scale

This is Russ's 1/35th DML Bergpanzer Tiger I (Porchse version). It was a white elephant gift from the ASMS Christmas party. With the exception of the Friul tracks, it was built out-of-the-box. Photos by Eric Choy.

AFV Club M3A3 Stuart in 1/35th scale

This is Russ's 1/35th AFV Club Stuart. This kit was built as a member of the 1st Chinese Provisional Tank Group, Burma 1945. This Kit has won medals at AMPS and IPMS Shows and was in a Fine Scale Modeler Magizine. Photos by Roderick Bell and Fine Scale Modeler.

AER 1/35th scale Soviet ASU-57 Assualt Gun

The ASU-57 is an AER kit with a Model Point barrel, and a photoetch set for the exterior screens, shields, brackets and latches. I used some spare aircraft instrument decals and epoxy for the instrument faces.  I painted the ASU-57 with Humbrol and Testors enamels. I weathered with Windsor Newton oils, Floquil acrylics and MIG pigments.  Photographs by Don Jones.

ICM 1/35th scale Soviet T-28 Bridgelayer

The T-28 is an ICM kit built "out of the box". I did add a figure (driver) for a feel of scale to the model.  The biggest issue with the kit is that it was swimming in mold release. I painted the T-28 with Humbrol and Testors enamels. I weathered with Windsor Newton oils, Floquil acrylics and MIG pigments.  Photographs by Don Jones.

Emhar 1/35th scale British Tadpole

This is the EMHAR kit that I built this kit in 2004. I guess it was the long sponsons that caught my eye along with the mortar mounted between the sponsons. The Kit is box stock with the cannon barrels and machine gun barrels drilled out.  The effort here is trying to make a simple kit have some character and life.  There are lots of rivets and panels to pin wash and fade. So it is a great choice for the World War I fan who wants to practice and have a nice/unusual model when it's done.  Photograph by Chris Mrosko.

CMK 1/35th scale Bergpanzer IV

This is a kit from CMK. It is also box stock. It has a Tamiya hull and running gear with resin and cast metal parts for the conversion. The fit/finish of some of the conversion parts is a little challenging while the parts placement is vague at times in the instructions. However, when built up it makes for an unusual and interesting model. I think I built this early last year (2004).  Photograph by   Photographs by Chris Mrosko.

Historix 1/35th scale German SdKfz. 231 Armored Car

This is a kit from Historix. I added a phoetch set to it and cut down an after market barrel to make it look a little better. You have to fill the center dimples of the rear wheel covers. At first I thought they were supposed to be there..nope. I used fine solder wire when I added the smoke discharge lines on the front hood. Probably the biggest challenge here was adding all the photoetch parts. I built this sometime in 2003. I think.  Photograph by Chris Mrosko.
