Meeting Highlights 


Several members brought in their latest models for us to review.  Shawn Merrell brought in his 1/35th Alan Panzer I Ausf. F light tank.  He also brought in a Fireworks tank that he lit up on the 4th of July. 

Mike Cunningham brought in a 1/35th scale Merkava, Leopard, and Willy's MB Jeep.  

Rick Herrington brought in a diorama depicting Space Marines landing on a planet.      

Modeling Teams for Club Contest


It is down to the last month before the August T-34 Model 1941 Team Build Contest. The fifith and final phase of the T-34 Model 1941 team build contest has been completed.  Each of the four teams should have built the model, done the track assembly, Painted and Faded the model, weathering, as well as completing a base for the model to sit on.  Make sure you bring in the model for the August 3, 2005 club meeting.  It is the night of the contest!!

Club Show Theme

Theme: The C.B.I. - Pacific Theatre 1931 - 1945

The AMPS South Central Region show (AMPSCENTEX 2005) theme has been choosen! The theme will be "The C.B.I. (China, Burma, India) - Pacific Theatre 1931 - 1945".  This will include everything begining from 1931 in Manchuria through 1945. 

The show will be held October 28-29, 2005 at Camp Mabry in Austin, Texas.


Raffle Winner


This month's Raffle Winner was Patrick Rourke's daughter.  She took home the Dragon Pak 40 7.5cm Anti-Tank gun.  Kit No: 6250.  Also lets give a big thanks to Terry D. Lowman for providing the Raffle prize!!
